There are numerous English TV series available for you to watch and it's really hard to pick "10 best" out of those. It all depends on your taste, and the genre you prefer.
Anyway, the list of 10 favourite shows.
1. F.R.I.E.N.D.S:
This is my favourite show of all time and I watch at least one episode each day. This is a show about six friends: Monica, Rachel, Phoebe, Joey(you will fall in love with him), Ross and Chandler, who live in New York and navigate their way through life. The ups and downs in their life will crack you up and make you emotional at the same time. This is a Must Watch.
2. How I met your mother:
Ted Mosby, a father, who recounts to his children, through a series of flashbacks, the journey he and his four best friends took leading up to him meeting their mother. This show is a roller coaster ride of emotions. I would suggest you keep a pack of tissue handy.
3. Modern family:
This show revolves around the life of 3 families. The series is presented in mockumentary style, with the fictional characters frequently talking directly into the camera. You will fall in love with the characters especially Gloria and Cam.
4. Game of Thrones:
This show is something else. Larger than life sets and casts will leave you in awe. It has the most unpredictable storyline and nail-biting twists.

5. Breaking Bad:
A show about that very aptly show to the extent to which a common man would go to provide for his family. Watch it and you will love it.
6. Sherlock:
Sherlock is a crime drama television series based on Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes detective stories. As you would expect, it has nail-biting twists and turns every second. My favourite part is how Sherlock leaves everyone awestruck when after having just one look at a person, he tells their entire life history.
7. The Big Bang Theory :
The Big Bang Theory is centred on physicists Sheldon Cooper and Leonard Hofstadter, whose geeky and introverted lives are changed when Penny, an attractive waitress and aspiring actress, moves into the apartment across from theirs *copied line*. This show grows on you. You eventually fall in love with all the characters.
8.Vampire Diaries:
The story revolves around the life of a teenage girl Elena Gilbert, and how she falls in love with a 162-year-old vampire named Stefan Salvatore. Their relationship becomes increasingly complicated as Stefan's mysterious older brother Damon Salvatore returns, who is also a vampire.
9. Supernatural:
As the name suggests, this show is a horror television series, where two brothers hunt demons, ghosts, monsters, and other supernatural beings.
10. House of Cards:
This is a story of Frank Underwood, a power-hungry Democrat, who initiates an elaborate plan to get himself into a position of greater power, aided by his wife, Claire Underwood.
